Legacy TE: Project M 3.6 torqued for tourneys
Firstly, it should be known that Legacy TE is very different than other Legacy builds. Legacy XP, for example, is a very different build with very different goals. Legacy TE won't add to PM's roster of characters, or try to balance it at all. TE is PM 3.6 at its core.
Legacy TE's aim is simply this: add, don't replace. Virtually all existing vPM 3.6 content wouldn't be touched, only added to. 1-for-1 stage reskins and team color-enabled alternate costumes add visual variety to tourney-compliant gameplay. Movesets, character roster, base stages, and character SFX are untouched.
To provide clarity, here is a list of significant changes in Legacy TE from Project M 3.6:
- Zero Suit Samus has been fully replaced with SJS Zero Suit Samus
- the final Roy costume has been replaced with Awakening Roy + team colors
- PSAs have been adjusted to fit some new costumes (i.e. run trails for Sonic, sword trails for Roy, etc).
- Bowser's Castle base and Bowser's Castle legal have been swapped
At the end of the day, we want a build that current Project M competive players love and want to use. We talked to a number of Tournament Organizers, ranked PM players, and netplay regulars and did our best to make something for the competitive community. We are truly excited to release this!!
